EXPLOITATION OF THE NEW ECTN MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

The Port Authority of Cotonou (PAC) brings to the attention of vehicle fleet managers and the port community that within the framework of the operation of the new ECTN platform, and in addition to the circular note N°2014/22/PAC/DG/DAF/DCM/BESC of December 16, 2022 implementing the new BESC management platform, Accredited Customs Brokers and collectors of goods are exempt from providing the BESC in paper version. 4TH EDITION WALK FOR HEALTH WITH CONVI PAC

On Saturday December 03, 2022, was held the 4th edition of Walk for Health organized by he Association for the Conviviality between the Agents of the Port Authority of Cotonou (CONVI PAC). This last sports activity of the year was a new opportunity to meet with colleagues in a good atmosphere, to nourish social links and especially to keep in shape, both physically and mentally. The new itinerary followed, allowed us to (re)discover the future area dedicated to the Zongo Parking and to pay homage to our public institutions (Carrefour 3 Banques, the Presidency of the Republic and its new Gardens, the fairground, the Law Courts, the Remembrance Square, then the new monuments BIO GUERRA and AMAZONE). IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW ECTN MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

The General Management of the Port Authority of Cotonou (PAC) informs importers, exporters, freight forwarders, ship owners, carriers, consignees, handlers and other users of the Port of Cotonou, that the declaration of the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) will now be done on its new platform https://besc.bj/ from January 02, 2023. LAUNCH OF THE NEW ECTN MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

The Port Authority of Cotonou informs all users of the Port of Cotonou that the new management platform of the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) is now available and accessible at https://besc.bj/ As part of the government's new reforms, it has been decided, in Council of Ministers of September 29, 2021, of the transfer of the management of the ECTN to the Port Authorithy of Cotonou. SIGNING OF A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CENTRALIZED ACCESS AND PARKING LOT IN ZONGO

This Wednesday, November 16 2022, the General Manager of the Port AUthority of Cotonou proceeded to the signature of the contract for the realization of the works of CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKING BUFFER OF THIRTEEN (13) HECTARES AND A CENTRALIZED ACCESS for all the trucks, in the presence of the persons in charge of the port authority and the representatives of the company China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), selected further to an international invitation to tender and in charge of the execution of the works.  Thanks to an investment of more than 25 billion FCFAThis project will allow, by December 2023, to decongest the Boulevard of Marina and the port, to improve truck access with a parking lot that can accommodate more than 800 trucks per day and to make the port more efficient. CERTIFICATION OF THREE NEW TUGBOAT CAPTAINS

VIDJOGNI Eriwa Andre, Pascaline ADJOFOGUE and ADDRA Isidore are the (3) three new tugboat captains to receive their certificates of competence of towing at the back of 300ml vessels with ASD type tugs. The certificate ceremony took place on Friday, October 21, 2022 in the conference room of the Port Authority of Cotonou in the presence of officials of the Belgian development agency (Enabel in Benin) and PAI (Port of Antwerp International). This ceremony is part of the Support Project for the development of the port sector (PASPort) financed by the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel in Benin) and which aims to strengthen the capacity of the staff of the Port Authority of Cotonou in several areas, including the heart of the port activity, the piloting and towing of ships.
